As part of your Hub’s security, you might want to restrict the access to your Hub for a specific IP range or IP address. In order to do so, you should provide a specific list of whitelisted IPv4 addresses.
To use this feature, from the StatusHub main dashboard, click on “Edit status site” (Pencil Icon).
Then, select the “Restricted Access” tab from the left menu. Go to the “Network” section and make sure the checkbox “allow access only from whitelisted IP addresses” is checked.
To finish, specify the IP range or IP address separated by commas and click on “Save changes”.
Both CIDR IPv4 blocks and IPv4 address will be accepted by the system.
After setting up an IP Whitelist, if a user tries to access your Hub from an IP address that does not belong to the whitelist, the access will be denied and a 404 error page will be displayed.
The IP Whitelist security protection is independent of other security restrictions. Therefore, it is possible to have SAML, OAuth or password protection for your Hub enabled at the same time as IP Whitelisting feature enabled.
In the case of a Hub with both security access restrictions, a user would have to meet both security requirements in order to be able to access the Hub.
